Hello world!
Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start writing!
These FAQs are in reference to Grid-Connected Chargers. Our Solar EV Canopy system is still in the engineering phase. Contact us for more info about that!
SunEVoltz sells EV charging services and everything necessary to install, maintain and operate chargers. Simply put, we know the process! We make things easy for you, which enables you to effortlessly offer EV charging and to delight your customers. Customers will tend to favor your business over others that don’t offer EV charging, and your customers will linger and spend more time and money at your business.
You don’t, we do. We handle all the planning, the electrical "make ready" modifications with a licensed electrician, the permit process, and the specification and provision of the EV chargers along with applying for any utility incentives. We work closely with the site-owner to apply for the utility rebate programs as we can not legally act on your behalf.
Typically nothing. It depends on your site layout and current electrical system. It also depends on which state your business is in and the rebates your local utility company offers for this type of work. In NC with Duke Energy, for example, a typical commercial make-ready installation for level 2 chargers would cost around $3K and the Duke Energy commercial program pays for up to $3K for this type of work.
There is a one-time fee that is very affordable. Please contact us for the latest prices. There is no monthly fee to you for us to operate and maintain the chargers. We charge the EV driver the local rate and reimburse the entity paying the electric bill for the cost of the electricity.
You'll get our SunEVoltz Charging System as shown in the photo here. We are currently using the Level 2 chargers that charge up to 11.5 kW. This is the "sweet spot" for charging when balancing cost, make-ready electrical work and power. We currently have partnered with WallBox brand chargers, proudly made in the USA!
We do not but we have partnered with EkoCruz.com, a Veteran-owned company here in the USA with lots of experience in this field. If you contact EkoCruz, please mention SunEVoltz.
Following installation of the chargers, we maintain and operate the chargers. Our sophisticated software makes the process easy for your customers to charge their electric vehicles. The amount of electricity used is closely tracked and the cost of this electricity is reimbursed to the property owner who is paying the electric bill with a regular report and reimbursement payment.
SunEVoltz will own the EV chargers and any accessories (and therefore be able to apply for and keep the Federal tax rebates) thus saving the site owner or the Sales Partner from having to navigate any of this. SunEVoltz will also pay for and install the charger management software and pay system that allows the EVs to operate and easily take payments from the EV owners.
Each charger is fitted with a QR code. The EV owner simply scans the QR code, enters their information and they are off and charging! Our software handles all the rest, including customer accounts, payments and alerts when their EV is fully charged. The EV owner will be charged the rate found locally for electricity.
SunEVoltz owns the EV chargers and any related pedestals, hardware, cables, etc. We are responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and operability of these units. The site owner owns all of the make-ready electrical infrastructure installed, typically near zero cost when factoring in utility rebates. This is very site specific as you would imagine and also based on the local utility and their reimbursement programs.
Yes, we are able to do larger projects like apartment buildings. With multiple charger installations like this, each project will be quoted separately as details are specified. We can offer Load balancing, which is a solution to install more chargers than can all be fully charging at one time. The charger management software will control and distribute charger current to efficiently charge all vehicles without overloading the available power. By using load balance, this allows the make-ready installation to stay as inexpensive as possible. TOU (time of use) Charging is programming charging when rates are lower if this is how rates are done in a certain area, for example at night or weekends. TOU rates are not active in all areas.
We do not, but we are happy to refer you to one of our certified electrician partners who can install your electrical work, the charger itself and even show you how to use it. You may even be eligible for a rebate or tax benefit!
